Nautical Candle DIY
I'one thousand not the "craftiest," person. Just… I effort to do a little hither and in that location, if I Really want something. {And if it doesn't have upwardly a lot of time I don't have.} And so when I looked everywhere for a candle for my patio, and came upwardly empty handed, it was time for a fiddling nautical candle DIY!
If you saw Function 8 of our home tour, yous should take seen the two candles I had on the centerpiece tray on my java table. I promised you all that I would post a DIY tutorial on how to make those ASAP. Then… hither it is.
The candles were bought from Target, and they were just obviously white, LED lights.
I grabbed my twine and gum gun…
and put a little dab of gum at the very lesser of the candle. I wasn't sure how far upwards the candle I would go with the twine, and so I didn't pre-cut it.. {I only pulled from the roll every bit I went.}
I carefully wrapped the candle with the twine, making sure not to overlap, laps. When I would wrap it effectually a few times, I would shove the twine down to the lesser.
Later near every v "wrap-arounds," I would add another dab of hot glue to secure the twine.
When I reached the height that I wanted the twine to terminate, I simply cut the twine, added ane final dab of glue, and information technology was complete!
Piece of cake every bit can be! So I accomplished the nautical look, and information technology was super quick and super like shooting fish in a barrel!
Call up that I used an LED candle. I'one thousand certain this wouldn't go over well with real candles that you plan to "light," and even with the LED candles that may go "hot," when turned on. That twine could go upwardly in flames pretty quick I'm sure!
